SIGHTSEEING Mahe Island is the largest island (150 sq. Km.), As well as the economic and political center of the country. 90% of the population live here and the most modern Seychelles International Airport is located.
Victoria is one of the smallest capitals of the world, the only major port of Seychelles and the only city in the country – any other settlement in the archipelago, whatever its name, is essentially a village. The capital of the island and the whole archipelago attracts tourists with its many Creole restaurants, souvenir shops and shops, traditional houses with marquises and openwork balconies, art galleries, colorful fruit and vegetable markets. The city is surrounded by green coconut trees (although recently modern and almost green-less neighborhoods have been growing rapidly), it is surrounded by cinnamon plantations, and from the peaks of the nearby hills of Signal, Crave-Coeur, Niol and the Three Brothers mountains (699 m. ) a fantastic view of the other islands of the archipelago. SIGHTSEEING Stockholm lies on 14 islands on the shores of Lake Mälaren and the Norstrom Strait, and is considered one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. The first mention of Stockholm dates back to 1252, and from the 13th century the city was the permanent residence of the Swedish kings and the capital of the vast territory of Sweden at that time. The old part of the city – Gamla Stan, is entirely located on the island of Stadsholmen and is closed to vehicles. Here is the famous Royal Palace (1754) with the royal chapel and the Antique Museum of Gustav III, as well as the Palace Church, St. Nicholas Cathedral (XIII-XV centuries, the place of coronation of the Swedish monarchs), the Armory, the Royal Mint, the Treasury, Ukensherna Palace (now the Ministry of Education is here), the Tessinsky Palace (Slottsbakken) and the Stockholm Stock Exchange on the Square. There are several unique palaces located at the rear of the Reddishman (“The Royal Isle”) – The Palace of the Wrangel (now here is the Swedish aperture), The Palace of the Second Quintessentially The Riddarholme Church (XIII-XV centuries), the burial place of Swedish kings and aristocrats, and since 1807, a magnificent museum are also interesting. Stonehenge Monolith Observatory (UK)
Around the megalithic structure there are many speculations in the circles of researchers. At different times, the creation of the observatory was attributed either to the wizard Merlin, or to the ancient Romans, and some modern scholars believe that Stonehenge is the shrine of the Druids.
